Its frequently said that one should strike the iron when its hottest. Telengana seperation leader and TRS party president K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) however seems to have lost that opportunity. With the SriKirshna report favouring a united Andhra, one expected the TRS and other pro Telengana leaders to have intensified the struggle. However save for Osmania, there is hardly any sign of a mass movt. in Hyderabad. Parts of Telengana and adjoining areas seem to have been affected, but that hardly seems to have affected Kiran Reddy's govt as yet. So one wonders why KCR and inc. have taken a backseat, esp now when the movt. had gathered steam and was ready to take off for round 2 or 3 (or whichever). Instead the remarks made by the party leader about non cooperation and asking congress leaders to resign almost seem Gandhian, which is bit hard to digest from todays politician. So that leads to two probable reasons in my mind: A. KCR is bidding his time. A mass movt (read violence) right now would probably mean a lot of news coverage but would be along expected lines only and with the Paramillitary in full deployment, would be limited. The leaders are prob waiting for the army strength to go down, their student leaders to build strength and then launch a big dhamaka. In that case, the scene right now is just the lull before the coming storm. Sounds sinister, but the second probable reason seems even worse...
